Hogslatten Solar Thermal Park | Harnosand, Sweden

Högslätten Solar Park in Härnösand, Sweden, is a revolutionary solar district heating facility run by Absolicon. Its unique Absolicon T160 collectors generate heat up to 160°C, providing temperatures to the district heating between 73°C and 120°C. This state-of-the-art facility, the first in Sweden in 20 years, promises an energy-secure future, independent from volatile markets, assuring supply stability. Financed by Absolicon Solar Collector AB and the Swedish Energy Agency, it also serves as a global demonstration facility for concentrated solar heat. The heat generated is sold to local district heating supplier HEMAB. With plans to expand its solar thermal system, it contributes significantly to greenhouse gas reduction. It also allows district heating customers to opt for sustainable heat from the solar thermal plant, directly contributing to sustainability. This initiative impacts about 15,000 people, marking a substantial leap towards a cleaner, renewable energy future.
